What ever may be Pradip Kumar‘s calibre as an actor, he recently made an
eloquent comment about Geeta Bali and her acting talents. He said, ”Geeta was
the fairy of histrionics who wore a human form”. Kya baat hai! After having sung
for a bucketful of film heroines, Lata Mangeshkar has a `soft spot‘ for Geeta
Bali. Lata had once told me ”I liked Geeta Bali very much. She may not be
beautiful in the traditional sense, but she was very cute, very charming, she
had a good height, an excellent figure and large eyes. She was good-natured too,
very affable. What grace she had!”
