Karan Dev Singh (Aamir Khan), a Casanova neck deep in debt, agrees to marry
the daughter Anita (Deepti Bhatnagar) of a rich tycoon Singhania (Dalip Tahil).
Dev meets Priya (Manisha Koirala) and promptly decides to add her to his list of
conquests.
Priya, however, refuses to fall prey to his considerable charms and they decide
to become friends. Indebted to Raj (Anil Kapoor), she is to marry him. The
cruise reaches Bombay harbor and they decide not to meet each other until
Valentine’s Day. Dev breaks away from Anita but it is not so easy for Priya. On
the day of the rendezvous, Priya fails to turn up.
