Young Natwar’s world consists of his older brother, the honest police
inspector Giridharilal (Ajit) and his sister-in-law who loves the young boy like
a mother. Their world is shattered when an evil criminal, Vicky (Amjad Khan)
wreaks havoc in their lives and Giridharilal is framed on a bribery charge and
discharged dishonorably from the police force. Natwar promises to seek vengeance
and grows up to lead a double life, masquerading as the mysterious, all-powerful
Mr Natwarlal (Amitabh Bachcchan), who step by step, destroys Vicky. This revenge
drama is laced with zany comedy, Bachchan-Style and also marks his debut in
playback singing. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan and has Amitabh
Bachchan crooning ‘Mere Paas Aao Mere Doston’ in that matchless baritone.
