That’s not true. Yes, most of my films had new faces in the lead. I
introduced Sanjeev Kumar and Junior Mehmood in Naunihal, my first film as the
director. My second film, Gomti Ke Kinare, featured Feroz Khan’s brother, Sameer
in the lead. Neetu Singh was launched with Hawas, my third film. Saajan Bina
Suhagan had three new girls of which only Padmini Kolhapure became a star. I
also take the credit of giving a break in acting to Saadika, Chandni and Simran
who today is a popular star in the South.
